John Denver, a singer-songwriter of Colorado who focused on folk pop music brought joy to millions. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell, New Mexico. He fell in love with Colorado and moved to Aspen. There were many who beat a path through Colorado after hearing Denver's popular anthems to his adopted state. I can't think of any another performer in the world who is as empathetic to Colorado like John Denver said G. Brown curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. Denver was one of the very first Hall of Fame inductee in 2011. He is now the symbol of Colorado for people worldwide. When you encounter people from different countries, such as New Zealanders, and they say "I am from Colorado" and they instantly react with Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads written by Bill Danoff and Denver after his brief time in folk groups which was Denver's first Top 10 solo hit. Danoff had originally written the tune with Johnny Cash's music in mind, but Denver recognized from the first time he listened to the early versions that the song would become a major hit. Following the performance on stage in Washington D.C. to a vast crowd, he recorded it just days later.
