Jeanie Marie Buss is an American businesswoman. Buss is the founder and director of Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss, who is originally from California was born into an very wealthy family. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty business tycoon after which he later became the owner of the Lakers. When her parents split in 1972, she began to feel as if she was abandoned. She joined the family business when she was 19 as general manager for the Los Angeles Strings tennis team. Later, she established her own Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. She was president of the Great Western Forum before assuming the duties of the vice-president of the Lakers. Buss was the father of her deceased father in 2013, as did the Lakers were inherited from him by her and five of her siblings by way of an inheritance trust. Each of the siblings had equally many votes. In 2013, Buss took control for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss runs Women of Wrestling in Los Angeles which is an organization that promotes pro wrestling.
